Well, Madi had her six month shots last week and everything went well! She is 16lb 2 oz and 28 inches long! I can't believe that Madi is 6 months old. She is rolling all over the place... can say Mama and Dada... even though she chooses to say Dada most often. :0) She can turn around in circles on her belly and even though she tries really hard to crawl forward, ends up scooting backwards. Madi can also sit up on her own... which she loves. She is still obsessed with Baby Einstein too. I love those videos! haha. Madison also loves several foods now, except peas... how do i know that? because she spits them on me every time i put some in her mouth... not funny Dad... :)

For those of you who don't know, Josh was called to be the Associate Pastor of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Richmond, VA and we are moving there the first week of July. We are very excited and can't wait to be used by God to do great things in this church. We definitely could use your prayers as we embark on this journey... also, please pray that our house here in Lakeland sells!

Its been a while...

Ok, so we all now know that I am a terrible blogger... :) It has been almost two months now since I've posted... I am ashamed. :) Well, Madi Grace is getting so big, its mind boggling. She is almost 6 months old now... I can't believe it. She can roll from belly to back and back again... She can say Dada and Mama... she can almost sit up on her own for more than a couple seconds... she can scoot herself a little bit across the floor... she eats rice and oatmeal cereal... loves bananas, sweet potatoes, and applesauce... talks to me all day long with several nonsense syllables... is learning sign language and laughs at me when I sign "more, eat, milk, and all finished"... laughs out loud at anything Luke does... and I am sure lots more that I can't remember. Madi loves to watch baby einstein and, now that we have 8 videos, is happier than a clam. She can't get enough of the puppets and a big grin splits her face when she sees them. I spent some time looking at photos from when she was born, and i can't believe how fast she is growing. Josh and I thought she was big when she was born... being 8lbs and all... but now looking back, she was so tiny! And she really isn't that big now, she is just soo tall! She has a very trim figure, but those legs go for miles. She will be running around the house in no time.

Madi just had a doctor's appointment this week and everything is wonderful! She weighs 13 lb 3 oz and is now 25 1/4 inches!! She is in the perfect weight category (on the small side) and is tall for her age... she is sooo long! The doctor was a little concerned about a pop (or click we don't know the difference) that he heard in one of Madi's hips, so she had to have an ultrasound done, but everything is great! So no worries... praise the Lord. She is growing and growing faster than I would have imagined! This week she discovered her feet and you will see her playing and laying on her mat in a ball. :) Its very cute, but does make diaper changes a little more complicated... as you would know if you could hear dad's disgruntled mumbles during the early morning diaper changes. :) haha. But she is sooo precious. She even started trying to bring her knees up as if to crawl and lifting her chest off the floor today. SO AWESOME! I just celebrated my 24th (OMG) birthday yesterday and it is also the 1 year anniversary from when we discovered we were pregnant with little Madi. Time sure does fly.

Easter Pictures

Madi is still growing like a weed! She rolls onto her stomach all of the time now!! On purpose!!! :) It was so cute... she can't believe it... and isn't too happy because she doesn't particularly care for tummy time.

I took Madi to get her picture made with the Easter bunny. She loved it! They also took a few pictures of her in a "spring" setting so I posted some of those! :) I can't believe Madi is 3 1/2 months now!!

Also, here are some more Easter pictures with the family. :) It was a very fun day... Madi even helped decorate some eggs... kind of. :) She is getting to be such a big girl... and her eyes are still so blue!!

2 Month Pictures!

I finally have Madi's two month pictures! They are actually more like "family" pictures, but I just can't believe how fast my little girl is growing up! She is sooo beautiful... I know I'm biased, but I just love her so much!! Madi is still continually learning more and more. She is now reaching for toys that dangle in front of her and batting them back and forth... she is also rolling to both sides now! Somehow, I still can't figure out exactly how, she is scooting around the floor. :) I can put her down on her blankie and a few minutes later she is off of it facing another direction! Madi is growing to like tummy time more and more... she tolerates it for longer periods of time now. :) Well, I'll try to keep you posted on more developments... hopefully I haven't forgotten anything!

Getting Bigger...

Madison is growing up so quickly!! She can almost hold her head up all by herself. She just wobbles occasionally. :) Last week her hands discovered each other and she can't stop playing with them... and trying to fit one hand into her mouth! Madison also has been playing wither her tongue. She sticks it out and tries to taste everything! When she isn't doing that, you will find her blowing bubbles. :0)

This week Madi finally figured out how to intentionally roll onto her side! She has been doing it occasionally for a few weeks, but it was by accident. Now, she deliberately rolls onto her side (just her right) and then rolls back over, and back again. :)

What a big girl!! Hopefully I will have some new pictures soon!!

Growing Up...

Well, Madison is growing up sooo quickly! She is now 2 months old. Last week, we moved her into her own room. So, Madi is sleeping in her crib now! Apparently, she loves it. She sleeps about 7 - 8 hours now... I guess Josh's snoring kept her up... haha. :0) Madi has also discovered her hands and feet now... so she has been eating her fingers and kicking us for the past couple of weeks! She is also continuing to talk more and more. She says a lot of vowels now and sometimes I am almost sure she says a word... yesterday I know I heard her say "hug." :)
